Luxury content strategy

Luxury industry is defined by its emphasize of authenticity and extreme personnalization in every store or advertising. The fact is that they are not yet launch with online content in comparison with hotel industry content.

Nevertheless some as the burberry website is absolutly awesome : about a holiday whishes interactive card with music as a short video of 2 minutes. It is surprising because it is very personnalized and refined. Luxury industry is more about the "wow" effect to make people be surpised and create so the need to share it (facebook, twitter, email).

As a matter of fact there is a huge difference with hotel content strategy that is focused on making people make the buzz for the hotel, whereas luxury content strategy is more about doing themself the buzz through their own personnalization and authenticity.

To demonstrate his four principles for openness, Don use the example of bird’s murmaration in the area of Edinburgh: they come together and create one of the most spectacular thing of nature. This act has a function; it protects the birds from predator because they chase it away. This  is about leadership but there is no one leader! It is a huge collaboration, a sens of interdependence  we should understand and think about it for our human world. The aim should be to share our intelligence, create collective intelligence , to create some kind of consciousness.

Power of mobile devices growth

1. Any Screen Any Time.
Smart devices are recent technology development in different application sectors and is a life changing for various people. Internet becomes a life essential and today part of the basic human rights is to have internet access. The high speed growth make the access easy to eveyone through smart mobile phones and tablet devices, iPhone iOS revolution with the Android OS phones.
Currently we also have non traditional ones : on treadmill, on dash board of our car and even in a plane !

2. What is great about it, is that you can enhanced your experience through mobile : if you see something wonderful during your vacation that you like so much you can check on wikipedia what it is exacly and even share pictures of what you enjoyed (places, arts, location...) and then look it up again later on the site you loaded it sooner... You also can for instance, when you are having a great evening in a bar you love, check the bar on facebook and then follow news about it and give you more opportunity to go back there often.

3. A customer during his stay at a hotel could take pictures of differents activities he did and enjoyed and post it with comments on the hotel's blog, so the hotel could offers him discount for its next stay or even during its stay if he posts it while he is there. A more commun example is that people who are looking for a place (bar, theatre, restaurant...) and have a picture on their mobile phone or the adress on their e-mail on their mobile and they directly show it to the conciergerie who will explain where is it and even make a reservation and so on.
With the new application Vine on twitter you can create short video of for instance a women enjoying her stay at the hotel and so show all the advantages of our hotel to enhance it! People could so have a quick and clear visualisation of why choose this hotel.

4. List the customer decision journey digital touchpoints shown in one of the scene.
See a tourism advert on TV at home, then visit the site on the mobile and save the URL to check it deaper later. Visit the site again during a break and call to a make a booking...

The ashamed english level of french

Life worldwide is becoming more and more international and english language is currently indispensable more than never.
Nevertheless France has still an ashamed national level.

Why since many years France still do noting to improve this important knowledge that all french should practice well as in Germany, Swedden or Holand?
The problem come from politics which don't stress on this importance , thus it impacts on, for instance, scools programs which is bellow European standard!
An another example could be to emphazise english through TV as in holland with subtitle even for children program that force brain to get used with this essential language.

It is worrying that France is ranked 23th on 54 in the world...

I deeply hope procedures will be commited to improve the actual situation.

Get up !

Many studies prove that being seated badly affect life expectancy.

We obviously heard a lot about cigarets, alcohol, unhealthy food and so on but this new statement is not easy to go along with because most of people are seating down more than 8 hours per day!
At work + at home = all the day

Indeed it is unfortunetly complicated to be seated less than 8 hours a day... In class for instance it is not conceivable to walk every 10 minutes, and during meeting... could you imagine? Organizing standing meeting will predictably enough not become customs this few next years.

Nevertheless according to Le Figaro, L'Express, Wall Street Journal, and New York Times, we could gain time to live longer : 2 years more by restricting being seated less than 3 hours a day.

So, get up!
